Basketball Prep League

Attention Hernando Basketball Parents,

Basketball Prep League for boys and girls from six to 12 years of age!

We’re excited to introduce the Prep League, a fantastic opportunity for young players to advance their skills in a competitive yet nurturing environment.

• The league runs from May 14 – June 26
• Boys and girls age 6-12
• Registration is only $150
• At least four games…plus playoffs!
• Once-a-week Practice!
• Tuesdays & Wednesdays
• Player’s uniform top is provided

This league balances high-level instruction and a less demanding schedule than travel AAU basketball. We aim to provide a platform where young athletes can grow in their love for the game, develop their skills, and compete in a friendly and supportive environment.

League & Season Format:

• Practice Schedule: We understand the busy lives of families, so practices are held once a week. This ensures that players can commit to improving their skills without overwhelming them or their families.
• Games: Each player will participate in at least four games during the season. These games are a great way for players to apply what they’ve learned in practice and experience the excitement of competition. Plus, there will be the playoffs and End-of-Season Tournament!
• Skill Level and Instruction: While the Prep League is not as demanding as travel AAU basketball, it still offers high skills development and instruction. It’s an ideal environment for players serious about improving but looking for a more balanced approach to competition.
• Inclusivity: The league is open to both boys and girls, emphasizing teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal development. It’s a great way for young athletes to make new friends, learn the importance of teamwork, and build their self-confidence.

Our goal with the Prep League… is to provide a platform where young athletes can grow in their love for the game, develop their skills, and compete in a friendly and supportive environment. We believe that this league strikes the perfect balance for families looking for quality basketball instruction without the intensity and travel commitments of AAU programs. We’re looking forward to a great season and can’t wait to see the players on the court!
